Using its community data, SamKnows’ report found:
- The average UK residential broadband speed reached 18.4Mbits/s
- 28% of homes now have a headline speed of 30Mbits/s
- The average broadband speed delivered by cable services actually overtook that of fibre
- The gap between rural and urban speeds has narrowed slightly
- Upload speeds were still quite slow, an average of 2.4MBits/s
