Packaging refresh for premium pasta brand
Ugo Foods, the UK’s fastest-growing manufacturer of chilled pasta, today reveals its new packaging refresh to its ‘Tipo Artigianale’ range.
‘Tipo Artigianale’ is an Italian term, used to express the artisan nature of Dell’Ugo’s top tier pasta range. The design features a gold-coloured background that complements the premium quality of the pasta. The front of the redesigned packs also showcases a red foil stamp that further distinguishes its positioning.
These raviolis boast more generous fillings, using top quality ingredients such as Crab, Truffle and Italian Parmesan. The ‘Tipo Artigianale’ range is now on special offer at Waitrose from 3rd – 30th December and comprises three different fillings: Wild Mushroom & Truffle; Crab & Crayfish; and Asparagus, Pea & Mint.
Waitrose recently won the PAPA (Pizza, Pasta & Italian Food Association) ‘Pasta Retailer Award 2014’ for the third year running, for its exceptional sales growth across both dried and fresh pasta sectors over the last year. Ugo Foods is proud to be Waitrose’s longest-serving chilled food supplier, since 1959.
“With this refresh we wanted to highlight our unique combination of tradition and innovation to the consumer” said Senior Account Handler Beverley Singer, “We are proud to be one of the few Italian food manufacturers that uses bespoke production machinery to make the highest quality pasta whilst still retaining our traditional artisan methods.”
Dell’Ugo is the UK’s largest fresh pasta brand and has been making pasta since 1929, based on traditional Italian family recipes. The new packaging designs will be in store from December. Dell’Ugo products are available from Waitrose and Ocado and prices range from £2.99 to £4.99.
