WRITE 3 LETTERS.
A man started a new job in an executive position. On the first day he found 3 sealed letters in his top desk drawer. They were labelled:
No.1 – From Your Predecessor, please open now.
No. 2
No. 3
He opened the first one, and found this message…
‘To whom it may concern:
Do this job to the best of your abilities. If you run into problems you cannot manage then open letter No. 2.’
After about a month on the job the new executive found there were serious problems associated with his new position that he couldn’t manage so he decided to open the second letter. It said…
‘Blame all of these problems on your predecessor, you have inherited them and are working hard to find solutions.
When this strategy ceases to protect you then open letter No. 3.’
Six months later the executive found the job to be a real nightmare, fraught with many unresolvable issues; and his bosses were starting to eye HIM as the problem! It was time for letter No. 3. Upon opening, all it said was….
‘WRITE 3 LETTERS!!!’
