Hen Party Blunder: Spend £600 in a Manchester restaurant – and the response is “What absolute trash they were. We pity the groom!”

It’s bad, nasty customer service in Manchester.

“A swanky Manchester city centre restaurant told a customer on Facebook her friends and family ‘wouldn’t know fine dining if it slapped them in their ugly faces”

Melissa Grogan-Morgan, 27, was left disappointed when her hen do at 47 King Street West in Manchester city centre didn’t go to plan. But after leaving a less-than-impressed review on Facebook, the restaurant responded with a tirade of insults towards her and her group.

The “modern upmarket French” restaurant has been dined in by the likes of Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal, Sir Alex Ferguson and Coronation Street star Kym Marsh. But after spending £600 at the eatery, Melissa was left angered by the “rude” customer service.

Her review read: “I’m just in complete disbelief at how rude and arrogant they have been – it’s left a bit of a shadow over the whole occasion.

“It’s absolutely shocking customer service – if I’d have treated a customer like that at work I’d have been sacked. I can’t imagine talking to anyone like that never mind a paying customer.”We spent a lot of money were them only to receive a flood of abuse.”

But the person running the restaurant’s Facebook page did not take her appalling review lightly.  They complained of the group turning up late, asking for “fresh” starters and then trying to get a discounted bill because of it.
