WDMP has appointed Jon Hale to create and head up a new account group. Hale joins WDMP from digital marketing agency Jaywing where, as Client Partner, he was directly responsible for developing the agency’s client servicing and strategic leadership.
As a member of the management team, Jon will be directly accountable for a number of the agency’s clients, including Wyevale Garden Centres, Lansinoh and University of Southampton, as well as taking the lead role in the development of new business pitches.
Craig Wheeler, Managing Director at WDMP, comments: “Jon’s impressive digital experience immediately stood out to us – especially as we are soon to launch a new digital and data-science based offering – as well as his passion for nurturing and developing excellent client relationships. Jon shares the WDMP results focused, entrepreneurial attitude and can do approach to a challenge. He will no doubt bring a new dimension to the senior team.”
Hale adds: “WDMP has a strong culture, an excellent new business track record and their recent campaign work for current clients is very impressive. There is definitely a real buzz around the agency at the moment and I am really looking forward to being part of the team driving the agency forward.”
Prior to his time at Jaywing, Hale has also worked across a range of disciplines at a number of other creative agencies including Proximity, TBWA Tequila and Watson Phillips Norman, working across clients including Sky, AXA, Carlsberg, United Biscuits, Sainsbury’s, News International, Paramount Pictures, Disney, RNLI and UNICEF to name but a few.
Hale’s appointment follows a number of new client wins for WDMP as well as the recent 2015 MAA and Travel Marketing Award nomination. As part of his role, Hale will also be helping strengthen the agency’s positioning as Curiosity Enablers – an agency that excites, feeds and grows curiosity in consumers to create long-term profitable relationships with brands.
