Sky has reported growth in sales and profits for its full year, as it added 973,000 new customers.

British American Tobacco has reported group revenue up by 2.4pc in its first-half at constant currency, although profits were down due to an adverse exchange rate.

Compass Group, the foodservice company, reported organic revenue growth of 5.5pc for the first nine months of the year.

Taylor Wimpey, the housbuilder, has grown pre-tax profit 33.4pc in its first half.

Greggs, the baker, grew like-for-like sales 5.9pc in its first-half.
