EDP and EADT Political Editor Annabelle Dickson has been promoted to the newly-created role of Group Political Editor, Archant, with immediate effect.
Annabelle, who leads the lobby group of journalists at the House of Commons, has been Political Editor of the Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times for the past two years and helped shape the coverage of the recent General Election across all of Archant’s newspapers and associated websites.
Archant Interim Chief Content Officer, Bob Crawley, said: “Annabelle’s brief will now be expanded and, in line with the One Archant philosophy, she will give support and guidance to all our content teams helping further improve our political coverage.
“Her next project is party conference season, which starts next month. Once that is complete Annabelle, who already knows many of the MPs representing constituencies where we have titles, will talk with all our editors about her new role and how she can support them.”
Annabelle will continue to report to Nigel Pickover, Editor-in-Chief, Eastern Daily Press.
Global brand design consultancy bluemarlin has appointed Sally O’Rourke as Chief Operating Officer to its Group Board of Directors.
Sally joins bluemarlin with 20 years’ experience in senior roles throughout the Creative, Media and Innovation sectors and will now be responsible for driving Operational Excellence of all business units, helping to develop the brand design consultancy’s strategy for growth and overseeing business responsibility for North America and beyond.
Prior to joining bluemarlin, Sally was EU Managing Director at C Space, the industry leaders in innovation and co-creation. She has worked on new products, brands and services for the world’s biggest companies including Coca-Cola, Unilever, Colgate, Pepsi, Danone, Philips and Nestlé.
Sally has been a significant figure within the Innovation, Digital and Trends sectors for the past 20 years with previous roles including Managing Director for EMEA at WSGN, a global trend forecasting and analysis agency, and MD at John Brown Media, where she was responsible for the digital agency’s commercial growth and operational transformation.
