One of the UKs best known printer cartridge companies last week launched the first in a series of stop motion adverts designed to engage with customers across the web.
And so far they are getting very animated about the feedback and interest shown by users across the web.
CartridgePeople.com commissioned Graham Love of Glove Productions who has achieved significant recognition for his stop motion animation work with LEGO for clients such as the BBC to promote EURO 2012. His latest creation for CartridgePeople.com is expected to attract a similar level of interest. The animations can be viewed here: http://www.cartridgepeople.com/lego
The short animated films are designed to encourage engagement through social networks such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Cartridge People commented:
“Given that ink and toner cartridges are a consumable item it can be a difficult to create social discussion about them. As part of an overall social strategy, the videos were commissioned to enhance social engagement with the existing customer base as well as reaching new potential customers”.
“Further animations in the series will be launched in the coming weeks. The release of the third animation will coincide with the launch of a 10 day give-a-way which will include exciting prizes; such as an iPad, 3DTV, PS3 and a Dubai trip for two.”
The creator of the videos, Graham Love, commented, “I think that viewers are going to really enjoy the series of ads as they follow the exploits of Johnny Ridge, the combination of stop motion animation and a good story should hopefully generate a lot of interest. It is definitely worth staying tuned with the prospect of winning exciting prizes come the second and third releases!”
