Following the successful launch of Deezer Football earlier this year in the UK and Germany, Deezer listeners across Europe will be able to catch second-by-second action of Premier League and FA Cup Games courtesy of talkSPORT.
Deezer Football will now be available in the following countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Spain and Italy. Premier League and FA Cup game commentary and podcasts will also be available to Deezer listeners in Germany for the first time.
Listeners will have access to:
- Live match commentary
- Football podcasts
- Match fixtures, live updates and results board
- Football related playlists
- Content from Deezer Football editors
The addition of live, premium sports content allows Deezer to build on its existing news, talk and entertainment offerings. Deezer purchased Stitcher in 2014 and launched full podcast integration in May of this year.
“We are delighted to be able to bring Deezer Football to an even wider audience. The addition of sport content on Deezer has already proven popular in the UK and Germany, and we are happy to offer this to our listeners across Europe,” said Alexander Holland, Chief Content and Product Officer at Deezer. “Football fans can listen to their favourite matches live and access the latest podcasts.”
“With a team of expert commentators and pundits broadcasting live and exclusive Premier League matches, talkSPORT’s footballcoverage is world-class,” said Scott Taunton, Chief Operating Officer for talkSPORT’s parent company UTV Media. “As the audio streaming landscape evolves it is important for us to work with the platforms that are leading this change, and by partnering with Deezer, we are bringing the best football content in the world to those who matter the most – the fans.”
Football on Deezer @deezeruk can now be found on the homepage and in the apps section, and is available to free (ad supported) and Premium users.
