Long-standing client, Microsoft, has briefed leading word-of-mouth agency 1000heads to create a new series of social videos, which bring to life the ‘Jamie is Running’ project. Jamie is Running saw adventurer Jamie Ramsay, recently complete a 17,000km solo and unsupported run from Vancouver to Buenos Aires for CALM, Macmillan and WaterAid.
The new videos, which were filmed by 1000heads in Salta, Argentina, bring to life his adventures which he captured with the help a variety of Microsoft products and services.
With a focus on advocacy, 1000heads nurtured a long-standing relationship with Jamie, creating three video instalments, showing how the full Microsoft eco-system powered his journey. These videos align with other Microsoft projects, which focuses on identifying talented individuals who ‘Do Great Things’ with Lumia and all Microsoft products. These social videos and accompanying assets will be uploaded onto the Microsoft YouTube page and distributed across the wealth of Microsoft social channels.

Jamie began his adventure from Vancouver to Buenos Aires, on the 14th August 2014 and completed his run on 30th December 2015 (366 days later). Microsoft is proud to have been an advocate of Jamie’s adventure which raised approximately £22,000 for charity (Macmillan, WaterAid, CALM). The series of videos shows how some of Microsoft’s most recently released devices, played an integral role to supporting the adventure run.
These videos truly demonstrate Microsoft’s One Experience and how Windows 10 connects all Microsoft products to create a seamless and consistent experience. Jamie used devices such as the Lumia 950XL, Microsoft Band 2 and the Microsoft Display Dock to fuel his expedition.
