Clogau picked up the prize for Jewellery Brand of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards

Last night, the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, was a sea of sparkling jewels as over 600 key industry players came together to celebrate another year’s personal triumphs and business successes.

Welsh jewellery brand, Clogau, were delighted with the win following a tremendous year of successful growth by building on its coveted Royal associations. Activity included an association with Historic Royal Palaces, a newly appointed brand ambassador (former official Royal Harpist, Claire Jones) and the most recent sponsorship of the Wales Polo Team.

Each piece of Clogau jewellery contains a touch of the very same rare Welsh gold used by British Royalty for over 100 years. Throughout 2011, and into 2012, Clogau has been the most consistently best-selling gold jewellery brand in the UK & Ireland*.

The UK Jewellery Awards remain the most desirable industry accolade and competition is fierce. The annual event recognises and celebrates the accomplishments of the talented stars of the jewellery industry, from individuals to standout brands and multiple, boutique and independent retailers.

Laura McCreddie, editor of Retail Jeweller commented: “It really is an incredible achievement to be one of the finalists. We certainly don’t make it easy for you, so if you are a shortlistee then you should feel very proud of yourself.”

Glamorous radio DJ, Lauren Laverne, hosted the night and presented the deserving winners with their trophies.
